The Constant Chatter Chapter Eleven

I awake early on Christmas morning and I'm just too excited to go back to sleep.

It's Christmas At Last!

It’s here, it’s here, it’s really here at least it will be tomorrow! Mommy helped me hang up my stocking and then put me to bed. She said that I must go to sleep because this is the night Santa makes his trip around the world. I’m much too excited to sleep though, I want to see those reindeer - I’ve already seen Santa Claus – remember? You know what’s funny though, mommy left cookies and milk for him – can’t she see that the old man is already more than fifty pounds overweight? If everyone leaves him a snack like that, the reindeer will never get him home! I can see the headlines now: SANTA’S SLEIGH CRASHES SOMEWHERE NEAR THE NORTH POLE – FRANTIC CREWS SEARCH THE AREA. SANTA’S WEIGHT BELIEVED TO BE THE PROBLEM – PROBABLY CAUSED BY TOO MUCH MILK AND COOKIES.

I really hope that doesn’t happen though, and someone has to tell Mrs. Claus to lay off on the sweets and homemade bread – I wonder if they have weight watchers at the North Pole? I know Danny or Mitchell isn’t worrying like this – they’re probably asleep by now, and here I am thinking about all the things that COULD happen. I bet that’s the way mommy is going worry when I’m sixteen and Cherrie and I are out somewhere in the car – I hope she don’t worry too much though, ‘cause if we’re parking somewhere, I’ll be sure to forget the time! I wonder what Santa is bringing Cherrie for Christmas? I guess it would be a doll ‘cause girls like stuff like that. I think it makes them feel like a mommy …a bit early for that … don’t you think? Now where’s my teddy bear?

My Christmas Story

Wow! What a dream that was! Angels singing, a bright new star in the sky… to bad I can’t remember all of it … Say isn’t this Christmas? I know it’s not even light yet, but I bet Santa Claus has already been here – now if I could only figure out how to get out of this crib … I know it’s far too early for mommy and daddy to be up, but I know I will never get back to sleep, so what to do? What to do? Hey! I just thought of something! Why don’t I think really hard and see if I can come up with a story about the first Christmas? Somehow I don’t think it had anything to do with Santa Claus or Christmas trees …No, I think it was about something much bigger then that … let’s see now, people are always happy at Christmas, aren’t they? Now what makes people happy?
Oh, I have it – a new baby! Babies always make people happy. That’s it I’m going to say that a baby was born on the first Christmas – and I bet I’m right too! Of course, it couldn’t have been any ordinary baby … people didn’t see a new star in the heavens when I was born when I was born, did they? I don’t think anyone heard angel’s singing either … except maybe me. Hey! That was in my dream… remember I told you I dreamt about angel’s singing and people seeing a new star? Okay, now on the first Christmas, a special baby was born, people heard angel’s singing, and a new star appeared in the sky… how am I doing so far? Man! It wasn’t easy coming up with that story, but I think I had some help, don’t you? OKAY! I think I just heard daddy or mommy getting up… time to see what’s in my stocking and open those gifts under the tree. Hurry mommy hurry!

Max knows more than we do - remembrances from his past, our past and even the future!

Let us also live in the dream world Kingwell, at least to forget some harsh reality of our making! siva

Nice chapter you made here. ( I am actually new to the series, and it would be wrong to be reading Chapter 11 when I was supposed to read Chapter 1.) Seeing it on Featured, checking it out, it isn't half bad. Its nice that you added the "hard thinker" and "constant talking" personality onto him, which is a good idea to add a pro and a con. (maybe both)

Hopefully, your story goes well! (Currently not looking into new stories at the moment to be honest.)

Thank you LivelyAurora, Sorry I didn't leave the link for chapter one as I did with the others and I will add the link. I'm getting a lot of good comments here and would be pleased if you had the time to follow. However, I understand if you don't. Blessings.

"The first Christmas, a special baby was born, people heard angel’s singing, and a new star appeared in the sky . . ." Wonderful ~ Kingwell ~ to see that Max has come to what I will refer to as ~ the meat of the matter..

Blessings.
