Mommy, daddy and I have fun in the snow. We build a snowman and give him a carrot for a nose.

Fun In The Snow

This has been a super day! I’ve never had as much fun in my life! First of all, daddy, mommy and I built a snowman in our yard. We used little pieces of rock for his eyes and mouth and a carrot for his nose. Daddy put an old straw hat on his head and a red scarf around his neck. He looked so funny that I laughed and laughed, but then I thought that I may have hurt his feelings, so I stopped laughing and gave him a hug. I think he felt better after that - I know a hug always makes me feel good. Mommy pushed daddy into a snow bank and tried to run away, but daddy caught her and put snow down her neck. They were laughing all the time and I felt so good because I know they’re in love, and that has to be the bestest thing ever!
After dinner we went outside and saw all the Christmas lights. Man, some people make a big deal of this Christmas thing don’t they? I’m in my crib now and mommy and daddy think that I’m asleep, but I’m not sleepy at all – I guess it’s from all the excitement. Right now I’m standing up and looking at my snowman. I think that he looks lonesome and there’s plenty of room in here for him, he could even sleep with me, as long as he didn’t wet the bed – oh well, I guess parents know best

I Dream Of Angels

Oh, I almost forgot, I was going to tell you about the Santa Claus Parade, wasn’t I? We found a nice place to watch all the floats but the best part was that Cherrie and her mom and dad came and stood next to us. I couldn’t believe my luck! I wanted to hold hands but I wasn’t sure she’d be ready for that yet. There were so many floats that I was starting to get tired and wouldn’t you know it, Santa was in the very last one! He looks like a pretty nice guy – could afford to lose a few pounds – but if the reindeer don’t complain, why should I?
Well, I suppose I should catch a few winks, I am starting to get sleepy - I wonder will it be Christmas when I wake up? Mommy and Daddy are always saying “it’ll soon be Christmas”, but every morning when I get up, it still isn’t here. Oh! Before you go, I gotta tell you about this dream I had last night. I dreamt that the angel on the Christmas tree had gotten down and came into my bedroom – he even had a friend with him. They seemed to be having such fun and even talked about it being “just like old times“. Then one of them looked at me for the longest time and said something very strange- he said, “don’t you remember us? Weird, don’t you think?

Their take on life is so different, innocent, but adults not only tend to hurt others' feelings but also make sure they do! So in a way, we corrupt their minds.

I do not know whether our world is getting more hostile but one thing looks for sure, we do not learn our lessons for mutual coexistence leading to peace all around.

Thanks Kingwell for a series that is so soothing to read and ponder - siva
