Max introduces himself and tells of his first time at church when the Minister tried to drown him.

Falling Down And Getting Fed.

Ha, I’ve done it! I’ve pulled myself up by this chair. Now can I get around it I wonder? It’s all pretty smooth here with nothing to get a grip on, let’s see how far I can reach, maybe if I can get over to…oops, I’m down again and NO, I’m not going to cry, you’d like that, wouldn’t you? I’ll get this thing yet, too bad that table is so high. You should have seen mommy come running when I fell down that time, bet she thought I was going to cry too. I’ll show everybody I’m no cry baby. Ha! I bet Nath and Ike cried when they fell down! There now, she’s picking me up again, oh well, there’s nothing wrong with a good hug and a few kisses from mommy, makes me feel all warm and toasty inside… yes I love you too mommy, I really really do, you’re the best mommy in the whole wide world. Yes mommy- that is a bit wet isn’t it? Ha ha ha, that tickles mommy, oh mommy stop that tickles… now where’s that powder that smells so good – ah that’s it – oh I love you mommy. Is it feeding time yet mommy? I love that stuff in the little bottles – well … the peas and carrot aren’t so great – but oh boy that fruit is awesome! Yes, right on, she putting me in my high chair – I know it’s mine because it’s not big enough for anyone else around here – see I’m smarter than you think! Oh I hope it’s the fruit, I hope it is, I hope it is- yaa it is! I can see the picture on the bottle. I love feeding time – hope I don’t get too fat though, they say obesity in children isn’t good. Oh I can worry about that later- this is really yummy!

My First Time At Church

Oh this is sooo embarrassing! I just know my face is turning red – AND IT’S NOT WHAT YOU’RE THINKING EITHER – why didn’t you tell me that I’d forgotten to introduce myself? Oh well, better late than never I suppose, I’m Max, yep that’s what mommy and daddy wanted to call me, so I guess it fits. I never want to see that minister again though – no sir. You see they got me ready for church and I tell you I looked smart, every hair in place! I was hoping I’d see some chicks there too, but then that minister ruined it all by throwing water over me! Can you imagine? I thought they WANTED people to go to church and the first time I’m there – they try to drown me – I cried too, don’t mind admitting it either, I’d have said something if we weren’t in church! I guess it doesn’t matter though, he wouldn’t have understood me anyway. Now maybe he didn’t try to do it, I don’t know for sure because he gave me a kiss afterwards – maybe he was trying to say he was sorry.
EVERYONE came to church that day too, grandma and grandpa Wright and even grandma and grandpa Small flew in from Halifax – and he NEVER goes to church! I think it had something to do with it being my first day there – and then the minister had to go and do that! They even had a big do at the house afterwards, all sorts of food – but nothing that I could eat yet – although I’d loved to have had some of that lobster- yummy. You know what? They even invited the minister – I think it was because they knew he felt bad about the water thing. Well now I’ve taken care of the introduction – I think I did pretty well – don’t you? I’m getting sleepy - it’s probably getting near my bedtime. That’s the only time I see John and Charlie now, they always come and sing me a lullaby after mommy puts me in my crib and turns off the light. Well, here comes my pyjamas - Good night.

a lovely saga written from the viewpoint of little eyes, with a lot of dry humour in it to boot.

I wonder if you will stay with this story until he goes to school or even longer LOL

The constant chatter in our head never stops just changes as we become more and more submerged in matter and become brainwashed by everything around us. Thank you spirited. I like the fact that you are enjoying my little adventure into a time of which we remember nothing. It will continue further but it will change of course. Blessings.

Lol! Good one spirited. Religion as we know it does not exit in the world of spirit, so of course Max knows nothing of such rites as baptism. Blessings.

It sure is tough to make sense of rituals, but we fall in line over time. Hope they sync with those we expect when born here.

However, lots of love and attention that Max is receiving make up for the inconveniences and even the shock therapy! Interesting and humorous take, thanks Kingwell - siva
