"The Dynamic Duo" A game of cat and mouse

Dad has called an emergency meeting. The team has been threatened by unforeseen forces. Somebody spilled the beans on the team. They will have to work diligently to take down the enemy and save themselves. It's a risky endeavor but they've been left with no choice.

A threat

Sally was the last one to show up for the meeting. Dad began laying out a plan as soon as everyone was seated. The team had been threatened by unforeseen forces. Dad explained that they needed to put a plan into place. At this point they were all in danger. At any minute the bad guys could show up and threaten their existence. They had no way to know who was coming for them. If they were mob related the whole team would have to relocate to a safer area. Molly knew two of the guys from the underground garage, had been taken to the hospital. Dad did not know how many guys they were dealing with now. They could be putting together an elaborate plan to get rid of the team. Milly truly believed they'd been very careful covering their tracks. Evidently that was not true because now they were coming for the team.

One step ahead and two steps back

Dad was mapping out a plan to protect the team. It was decided that they would all stay at Molly's house till this nightmare was over. They were going to have to take shifts guarding the house. Rusty was going to have the nightshift. It made the most sense because he was up all night. He was used to roaming the streets at night so he wouldn't fall asleep on the job. If something happened he would alert the team to go into action. Milly had access to a very nice sling shot, she was very good at using it so Dad decided that it would be her weapon of choice. She could do some real damage with a simgle blow to the anatomy. Milly could bring a full size man down to her eye level. Dad knew that whatever plans they made could change in a minute depending on the bad guys. They could have an elaborate plan that could backfire. Only time would tell how good their plans were going to be.

A full moon

Molly knew there was going to be a full moon tonight. That made her just a little jumpy. Everything went haywire during a full moon. At least that's what Molly had always heard. It was going to be up to her to guide and protect the team. Robert would be by her side but she still felt a little edgy tonight. These guys meant business. Molly sure hoped the team could take them down. Their lives really depended on outwitting the bad guys. This case had been a nightmare from the beginning. Molly just wanted to put all this nasty business in the background and go back to living a peaceful life.

A waiting game

Robert was stationed at the back door. Molly was about 4 feet away from him. If someone entered the back door, it was Robert's job to take them down. He was the only male dog on the team and he could be ferocious if he set his mind to it. Robert had a fierce bark that was known to scare the neighbors. His only hope and prayer was that he could scare the bad guys. Molly was prepared to do whatever she had to do. Sally was sitting by the phone. It was her job to call the police if things got out of hand. Sally would have actually preferred to let the police handle this mess but Dad said the team had to handle this one. Dad had a lot of faith in the team.

Dad believes in hands-off management even when danger lurks around the corner, but our crack team is up to their task. Robert and the rest can smell baddies miles away while Rusty can spot them before they even turn towards the house! And not forgetting the sling shot of Milly that can leave a grown up man staring at the stars, or even put him out of circulation for good; he won't even know what hit him!

Thanks Nancy, our team is the A team for sure, the baddies have no chance at all, not at all - siva

Thanks Siva for the awesome comment. I love reading your comments as much as I like writing the story. I think we are a good team. The A team is definitely ready for whatever may come there way. This story will soon be ending and I'm sad. This is the way I feel every time a story ends but soon there will be a new one. The team will most definitely be called the A team and I thank you for that. Smiles to you today!
