The team is in trouble. They've managed to lock the curator in the basement and push a big chair in front of the door. Milly's shaking from fear and Molly and Robert are trying to figure out a way to save Dad. Miss Darcy is flying around looking for anything to use against the curator. If he breaks down the door they are all history.

The Team's in trouble

Robert is standing near the basement door. He's expecting the curator to come flying through the door at any minute. Molly's trying to come up with a plan to save Dad and the team at the same time. Miss Darcy is flying around looking for a solution to their dilemma. There's a blizzard raging outside and the temperatures are dropping by the minute. They've enlisted the help of the cab driver. He's in the driveway waiting for a signal from the team. The only thing the cab driver can see is a dark house. He has no clue what's going on inside. Milly is shivering in the corner. She's positive the curator is going to finish them all off. The only thing she knows for sure is if by some miracle they manage to get out of this mess alive, Milly has decided to take a vow to never go out on a case again. The only place she wants to be is home with mom where she belongs.

Ingenuity at it's best

Dad's not waking up and Molly is sure he has a concussion. He's bound and gagged and they need to untie the ropes. Miss Darcy believes that if they pour water over Dad's head he will wake up. That is definitely easier said than done. Miss Darcy is a little bird and Milly is a kitten and that only leaves Rusty the raccoon, and Molly and Robert. Robert's the biggest one on the team so maybe he could carry some water over to where Dad is tied up. Molly goes in search of a bucket of some kind but all she comes up with is a plastic bottle. The buckets are probably in the basement and nobody wants to go down there because that's where the curator is at the moment. Molly enlists the help of Rusty to fill the bottle with water. Rusty turns on the kitchen sink and Molly pushes a kitchen chair over to the sink. She jumps up on the counter and positions the bottle so the water will go into the bottle. Once the bottle is filled Rusty hands the bottle to Robert and he very carefully takes the bottle to the dining room table. At this point Robert and Molly work as a team. They jump up onto the table and between the two of them they position the bottle to pour over Dad's head. At this point Milly is holding her breath because she's not sure they will be able to pull this off without hurting Dad in some way. Molly's afraid they will drop the bottle and the water will go all over the place.

The team is running out of time

Robert and Molly tried as hard as they could to position the bottle of water over Dad's head but they just couldn't do it. The water poured out of the bottle and landed in Dad's lap. Miss Darcy was afraid of this and she started flying back and forth over Dad trying as hard as she could to whip up enough wind to help Dad dry out. Milly was in shock by this time. She figured they were all goners and life as they knew it would shortly come to an end. She was going to miss the team. They were all so good together. By some miracle they had all come together to solve crime in the area. Milly wondered who would take their place. Crime would run wild without the team to fight the bad guys.

The cab driver calls for backup

While Milly was standing in the corner she could hear the wind howling outside. It sounded like it was whipping around like a hurricane. In the mean time the cab driver was sitting in his cab wondering what to do. He knew the team was inside but they had not tried to contact him. For all he knew the curator had killed them all. The cab driver did the only thing he knew to do. He called dispatch on his radio and asked for help. It was a very bad night to be out on the road but the police made it to the house in record time. The sergeant stopped to talk to the cab driver and then he decided they needed to enter the house. The police went to the front door and when there was no answer they decided to enter the premises. If there was a life in danger they had to protect the citizens of the community. When they entered the building they were surprised to see two dogs, one kitten, one bird and a raccoon near a man that was tied up in a dining room chair. There was water all over the floor in the dining room. The team never said a word. They just stood by and let the officers take charge. Milly was so thankful that backup was here. The officer untied Dad and called for an ambulance. When the ambulance came Dad was awake but they placed him on a stretcher. He had a big bump on the top of his head. Dad's eyes weren't focusing very well but he thought he saw the team standing nearby.

The case comes to an end

After the police had secured the area and Dad had been taken to the hospital they went to deal with the curator. They had to move a big chair from in front of the door. The officers had no idea how a chair as heavy as the one they moved had been put in front of the door. The officer glanced over at Molly but she just stood silently waiting for the officer to do his job. Robert glanced at Molly but never said a word. Milly was over in the corner with Miss Darcy and Rusty the raccoon. They were all relieved that this night was almost over. The sergeant brought the curator upstairs in handcuffs. The curator was mumbling to himself as they took him out the door. This had been a hard case and everybody wanted to go home. The team walked outside and the cab driver opened the back door for all of them. They all climbed inside and the driver drove them back to their house. Robert told the driver that they would be in touch and that he would get a reward. Milly fell asleep in the backseat and Molly had to wake her up when they got home. Home sweet home.

Rather we get paid or not we can build our audience from here and that is priceless. I share my articles on facebook, twitter, TSU, and goggle +. I have a big following and it will be a blessing when I publish my book. I do hope you start writing again.

The team seems to have recruited some helpers along the way. I like Miss Darcy.

Her chirpiness certainly must add extra colour to the team.

Keep up the good work Nancy!!

Spirited, thank you so much for your awesome comment. I like Miss Darcy too. I think she's the voice of reason. Molly is definitely high maintenance and is stubborn as can be but Miss Darcy always checks all her facts and looks out for the team. I think that's priceless. I love this team. Smiles to you today and always.
