"The Dynamic Duo" Trying to stay under the radar.

The team has taken back their neighborhood. They spent the evening celebrating and today is a new day. The heat of the summer is gone and the children have gone back to school. Molly and Milly are planning on staying under the radar for awhile. The last case was a hard one and they need some rest.

A day of leisure

Molly was in bed trying to figure out a plan for the day. At some point she wanted to go to the park and possibly make time for little Reilly. She was almost three years old and she would miss her ten year old sister Samantha and her seven year old brother Ricky. The house seemed quiet with the two older kids off at school. Molly welcomed the peace. Now that the last case was solved Molly didn't have to think about bad guys, robberies, abandoned buildings or threats of any kind. Life was definitely good.

Milly was taking some time to herself

Milly was very content to be at home. She had her day planned out way in advance. Milly needed a little pampering and that was exactly what she was going to do. Mom was going to brush her hair and she was going to look at all the newest magazines. Milly was going to dine on gourmet cat food and never ever again think about crime. She'd been through enough in her short life and she definitely needed some downtime. The heat was gone so in the late afternoon she might decide to venture outside for a nice leisurely walk.

Going to the park

At noon mom announced that she was taking Reilly and they were going to the park. Molly wanted to go so she was going to tag along. The park was a few blocks from their house and it would be a nice walk. An afternoon at the park would make Reilly happy and hopefully she would come home and take a nap. That was what mom was hoping for. When they got to the park Molly saw Robert by the water. He was there with his family. Of course as soon as he saw Molly he waved to her. He still had a crush on Molly but she was too busy taking care of her family to get involved with anyone. She also wasn't sure Robert was her type. She really liked the tall dark and handsome kind of dog. Reilly was playing on the slide and mom was watching her to make sure she didn't get hurt. Molly was standing by in case her assistance was needed.

The park incident

Reilly was having a good time going up and down the slide. It didn't seem like that much fun to Molly but then again what did she know, she was a dog. A lot of people were at the park with their young children. Molly was just standing near the slide when along came a guy that looked kind of suspicious. Molly had a very funny feeling about him. They always said you should trust your gut instincts. Molly was thinking about this when suddenly the guy swiped a purse from a mom over by the swing. Molly took off running after the guy but when he got to the street he jumped in a car that another guy was driving. They took off like a bat out of hell. Molly was trying to catch her breath when Robert came up behind her. He said he saw the whole thing but he was too far away. He had been over by the water with his family. Molly just shook her head. She knew it was starting again. They had just finished the last case and she wasn't ready for another one. Mom called for Molly and they started for home. Robert decided to walk home with Molly and her family.

It begins again

By the time they got home from the park Dad had news. He was sitting in his study looking quite perplexed. The police had called and wanted to talk to Dad and the team. Dad, Molly and Robert drove over to the station to talk to the captain. He had an assignment for Dad and the team. The captain told Dad that he wanted them to patrol the park. The team had been so busy with the bad guys and the abandoned building that they didn't realize that several women had been attacked and had their purses stolen. The attacks had happened in broad daylight. Dad agreed to help and he told Molly and Robert to get in touch with the rest of the team. They needed to come up with a plan. Molly asked if Clarissa and Katie were needed and Dad said to tell them to stand by. Molly knew it was all starting over again. Milly was not one bit happy. She cried and then she yelled but in the end she agreed to help.

Shamarie, thank you so much for the awesome comment. I think this could be a great series for fall. It's going to be centered around the park and fall is when the beautiful leaves change colors and the air is cooler. It just might be fun.

Stella, I loved your comment. They are always so perfect! Sometimes in the middle of the night I wake up with an idea for my stories. I do get enough sleep even though I have to get up at 4:30 a.m. every morning. I really liked the idea of having this story take place in the park because I can share many beautiful pictures of the fall leaves which are my favorite. Thank you so much for the blessings. I'm sending blessings to you too!

Bets, I was so happy to see you here. Thank you for reading the first chapter of this story. I think it's going to be fun to have the team in the park. They all have different personalities but they come together when needed.

Siva, thank you so much for your comment. I think this story will be the best of all because it takes place in the fall. The summer heat is gone and the park will be beautiful with all the colored leaves. I love walking through crisp leaves and I have a feeling the team does too.
