It,s about beauty in our woods, meadows. And their relationship with each other.

The- Fern Owl and the Gasshopper-Lark

In fresh fields poppies begin to flame out their vivid red paints all the fields,
Listen hard to the fern-owl and grasshopper-lark as they sing us a haunting tune,
The abeletree is putting out its leaves as white as a sunbeam glancing off snow,
It makes a stark contrast amongst other green trees the pines look on jealously.

In heath and forest young ruddy roots of the Scotch firs add color to the lands,
The beautiful crimson tassels and light foliage of the larches refreshes the eye,
There is pleasure in watching the different flowers in dry turf and happy birds,
In the wood my favorite flower the blue-bells and white-bells dance on a breeze.

The blossom of the apple tree has all blown away some sailed down tiny streams,
And if get close and look very hard you may see a young green fruit being born,
The quince is now in bloom with its yellow green leaves as sweet as morning dew,
The days are now warm and the evenings are mild people are out cutting up furze.
