The best part of cold weather is the warm of Spring that follows.

The Robin

I was afraid you wouldn't come.
You turned cold then warmer before you once again struck me with such icy abandonment.
And yet I waited for your return. High expectations fluttered my heart, yearning, dreaming...
I waited because... the robin told me. And I believed him because he spoke in Heavenly song.
Slowly I felt you, your warm hand cradled me, I emerged from my darkness and blossomed in your smile.
I waited because the robin told me of the greening to come.

Slowly I felt you touch my heart, and I began to awaken from your touch.
But then...slowly slowly I emerged from the darkness and thrived, blossomed into me.
I waited because the robin told me of the greening to come, even when snow buried me and chilled me.
I waited because he sang his Heavenly song.
