A daft poem about a double glazing salesman at my door and why you should sometimes tell white lies.

The Guy at the Door

In this story
That I`m going to tell,
Really did start
When hearing the bell,
There stood a man
With smiles on his face,
I took a long breath
To listen and embrace.

.

The Chat

He started to chat
About the windows I had,
And with new ones
I`d be happy and glad,
His pitch was the price
And he would not take no,
I was trying real hard
To rid him and go.

.

The lie

I finally told him
He was wasting his time,
My brother made windows
And the price was real fine,
The man then got angry
And shouted a lot,
I shouted right back
And called him a clot.

After Thought :- Sometimes a white lie can work wonders !
