The Iron Box Within The Man.

For those who have that extra dark side locked away within them self.

When I see my reflection in the mirror I see him.

He stares back at me through my own eyes with his own blackened eyes.

I hear him sarcastically snicker with any kind gesture I make.

As if he looks at it like a weakness he laughs with a smirk on his face.

On those extra tough days when it seems like the whole world is against me I can feel him scratching and clawing.

When another man challenges my pride I hear the pounding echo...

Louder and louder I feel the walls begin to cave.

I the warden and and him..no..IT the only inmate.

I dare not let IT out for the sake of karma and those whom feel the beast wrath.

So in the windowless iron box IT remains locked and chained.

I the watchman eternal.. the peacekeeper of light.

I the beast infernal... the harbinger of death always ready for a fight.

I the yin and yang that holds the box within the man.
