It is the alcohol you so adore Always wanting more and more
It’s the love of your life It replaces your wife

The Liquid Habit

THE LIQUID HABIT
It is the alcohol you so adore
Always wanting more and more
It’s the love of your life
It replaces your wife

It creates the demon you become
Makes you forget the damage you have done
You destroy the little hope and trust I had
You hurt me real bad

I am the victim in your life
I am still your loving caring wife
I am there to clean up your mess
I am the one that puts you to bed

You give me blue and black eyes
Strangle me, wanting me to die
You tell me you want me dead
Thinking of all the pain and how you made me blead

There was never a ‘sorry’ or ‘please forgive me’
Only a ‘you deserve it’
A special note to alcoholics: You destroy families and inflict such pain on those who love you so dearly. I speak from experience living this life for nine years
I spent time in many hospitals and I have forgiven however can never forget.

Dear Charmaine .... I have a close relative who has lost many loving spouses because of alcohol....It is a hard love affair to compete with , especially when the one with the problem refuses to seek help .
Bless you
