The Living Struggle

It's the life of the living dead, the waking sleepy head too tired to leave his bed.

The Living Struggle

The Living Struggle

Taking part?
We do I think,
Willingly or not (he thinks)
As the thought comes.
The prophets sang of it
On scattered tongues
Squeezed red and green
Greasing the machine.

And down,
In and out
Black and white,
Day and night,
For everyone
There is
A kindred son,
A layman's daughter.

My how slick
The slide
Of the devils tongue.
The father of lies
And giver of death,
Leading man
Down his path,
But he does not shake them,
Wake them.

Every one
Wants to be loved
By every one.
And it’s okay, says he.
It's okay.
Now fall in line!
Sit down!
Lay down!
And point your disgust
At those who stand up
And my, how the fingers fly...So high.

Everyone does it
You see,
Carnally, liberally.
Do nothing.
Wait for others.
Never ever be first in line,
Or stress your spine,
But above all,
Do not worry my little ones,
My fatherless sons.

It is far too late
For freedom now.

I have been writing since the beginning of time it seems, not because I want to write, but because I have too. My favorite form of writing is poetry, all kinds and types of poetry.
