This is about our society of yelling people who on their cell phones, mobiles and wherever they go, their voices so loud upsetting all near and even far from them.

Who Shouts the Loudest!!!!

Nowadays it seems the thing to shout, talk loud what the hell. It matters not that other's around cannot bear the shrillness of your voice or the inanity of what you shout about.

Everywhere we go we find people on cellphones, mobiles, just walking down the street or in restaurants making so much noise.
Yelling people talking loud about their personal grievances, their love lives, the way they shit or some such innane thing,

yakety yakety yakety yak
]It goes on all the time

They Just don't Bloody Care

Forgetting everyone around or just not bloody caring on and on their voices go.Yelling out their secret lives to all and sundry withing hearing . And often those on nearby tables or over the hill can hear what they say. It is a common fault today, privacy is not their concern - let's spill the beans so all can know

I often wonder at these folk for wherever I do go, the gym, the cafes, restaurants, in movie theatres too. Their shrieking noisy voices blare out disrupting all around,

yakety, yakety, yakety, yak

Disturbances

They do not realize that all around each one of us minute frequencies vibrate in harmony till disturbed by voices loud and shrill. The loud noise disrupts these energy fields s and shatters them into misalignment. Then we wonder why we cannot think, our mind stops working, we shake our heads. We then have to get our minds in order and back into the balance of ourselves finding again the equilibrium within.

Have you ever experienced this type of happening
Maybe in different ways but always with the same results for loud voices cause disturbances.

The awful thing nowadays is that young children are taught to shout. Loud, louder, loudest thinking it a way to impress others and that they become more by shouting. Then they can be (seen) and heard as the most important person around. (or so they think as do most people in the world today).

An abominable teaching by mothers, dads and teachers too

Reading to Children at the Library

I remember when I did read to children at the library as a volunteer. I
showed them how to use their voices, use them in melodic tones. But most important of all I taught how people listen to them when they spoke in quiet tones. And blocked them out when they shout or talk so loud,

You have got this down pat. Great article and oh so true. Read my article called Bring Back the Phone Booth - but a different kind of phone booth. This would be a booth for cell phone users to use.

Love, I know you're disappointed. Don't be. You've got lots more star pages anyway than me and anybody else this early in your writing. Anyway, from my heart this is a STAR!

cnwriter: The problem is that it is contagious. I stop in the middle of a telephone call and ask if I am shouting. Thanks for a delightful and entertaining page.

I always comfort myself when I see people in Asia shouting incessantly on their cell/mobile phones that they too will evolve soon like the more refined westerners! Sometimes, they are so lost that they bump into others while texting on the go; they don't follow basic walking rules! There should be certain basic courtesy followed when we venture into new territory. We progress in technolgy but seem to regress on the basics! Thanks indeed, cnw - siva

Personally I keep conversations on the Mobile Phone on the minimal and only for emergencies. None the less,if there is a time a conversation is to take place with lots of people around, I usually leave the room to go to a place that is absolutely private but with good coverage as that is what is the main problem as to why people yell on their phone.
Coverage problems and of course being inconsiderate of the people around.
I don't even keep a ring tone and put my phone on Vibrate to be considerate of others and with calls which are usually within five minutes unless they are business or interview calls and that's when I disengage from a crowded place.
Moreover, I tend to keep away from crowded places unless its an absolute must.

Most hilarious are the ones using handsfree as they don't have a handset in sight, talk animatedly with gestures and with the advent of Bluetooth, well, many people look at them screaming into the air without a plausible reason until they examine them closely and get to see that they are actually talking into a little unit strapped to the ear which has noise clearance and above all is powerful to pick your voice up even if you whisper.

I have to agree with you here Lady A...I too try to avoid crowded places...and I say yackety yackety yak when people talking loud around me.. I prefer my own dulcet tones to their strident ones!!!

This is very true--I think perhaps people subconsciously think they have to shout so they can be heard faraway? (just joking). I think, over time, some kind of cell phone etiquette will be developed.

Shalimar's comment made me chuckle, too

I thank you for this rama.. I think people shout because they need to be heard some kind of inferiority complex. No?
