A true story about how Coffee is grown and made into a Rich aromatic flavor it is today.

The Origin Of Coffee

Coffee began from the seed
of an evergreen tree
grown in the field
or in a nursery
The plant takes five years
to fully mature
and then it is ready
to ship to the store

If Fertilization
and soil is ok
the plant stays productive
fifty years so they say
the trees may be pruned
to about twelve feet each
allowing the pickers accessible reach

The trees are encased
with fragrant white flowers
an aroma so sweet
the scent lingers for hours
and clusters of bright
red colored berries
gives the illusion
of bunches of cherries

The berries are picked and put in machines
skin and pulp are removed by mechanical means
the green bean remaining is set to be sold
shaped like an oval a sight to behold

Coffea Aribica is the coffee best known
most liked by the people it is commonly grown
pure aroma and taste makes this drink a treat
with a nice mellow flavor few others can beat

Now that we’ve learned how Coffee is grown
let’s sit and relax and drink one of our own
think of the money generated from beans
and rare products invented that might never have been
