This is the continuation of my story from Creation through to Salvation - as I see it.

Many Were Blinded By The Darkness ( part 4 )

Many who were blinded by the darkness
Of the age
Could not disguise their hatred - bitterness
And rage .
So - behind the pious trappings of their
Unrighteous wrath -
They plotted ways and means to put the
Son of God to death.
Even one among His own - with neither guilt nor shame .
Sold his Lord and Master for a paltry silver gain .
Thirty pieces - we are told - was the price that he was given
Not even gold was offered - for the greatest Gift of Heaven.
So it was they took Him - as a criminal and bound -
led before a baying mob - where no mercy could be found .
And yet - this wondrous Man - stood silently and still
Knowing - every blow that fell - was His Father's will.
' Crucify Him' was the cry - their vicious voices yelled
As spitting - beatings - lashings on His broken body hurled .
But - even in His hours of pain - His love was never dim -
As He poured out His forgiveness on those crucifying Him .

The Sky Grew Dark And Menacing ( part 5 )

The sky grew dark and menacing - like a shroud across the sun .
As hell poured out its wickedness - until the deed was done .
And then - with heartfelt anguish - the Lord of Glory cried
' It is finished ' - Death was conquered - and surrendering He died .
The Father turned His face away - as His beloved Son
Bore the fearsome weight of sin - and the curse of all mankind.
Then a mighty earthquake rent the earth apart -
As if echoing the agony of the Father's heart.
The curse of death and punishment - was nailed upon that tree -
That bore the suffering Saviour - who died for you and me .
Yet it was all for love for us - that He took our sin and shame .
Because He saw the joy that lay - beyond the cross - and pain .
Death could not hold Him captive - as He fulfilled the plan
That was laid - before the foundations of the world began .

Only He Could Pay The Price Of Sin ( part 6 )

God knew that only His own Blood - could pay the price of sin .
That would restore His Precious jewels - to His crown again .
So He raised up Heaven's precious Pearl - to sit at His right hand -
And tore down the dividing veil - to lead us home again .
Christ the Lord has risen - the tomb now dark and bare -
Only holds a memory - of the grave clothes lying there .
Now - broken bread and scarlet wine - remind us every day .
Of the value God has placed on us - and the price that Jesus paid .
Yes - even when we all were lost - and the vilest of men .
God saw us in the deepest pit - as a priceless - precious gem.
But His own arm was strong enough - and with dynamic might .
He broke the bars of the gates of iron - and made the darkness light .
Then - He snatched the keys of hell - out of Satan's hand.
And led the captives forth - as a triumphant - glorious band .
From now on - God's salvation gift - is for all who will receive
His mercy and forgiveness - His redemption full and free.
So open up your heart to Him - at this wondrous time .
Taste and see - that the Lord is Good
And your life will never be the same .

All who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved . ..Acts 2:21

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world ,but to save the world through Him ...John 3:17

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life , for the Father's wrath remains on him...John 3:36

God bless you.

Great poems Stella. Jesus died for us on the cross. This was God's plan. For God's plan to work someone had to do it. So do we think they were wrong or right as this was God's plan he had to pick the people for the plan. So they had no choice.

God gives everyone the freedom to choose Him or reject Him . Judas was a thief and his heart was on what he price he could make and the religious leaders were blind and hateful and jealous , and they saw Jesus as a threat and not the promised Messiah. I hope my answer helps a little .
God bless you Terry.
