The Price

For that which we desire, those things so precious and beautiful, what price shall we have to pay

The Price

Honey in a comb
Taste not in a haste
Or risk the sting of a bee

Rose in the garden
Pretty as it blooms
Pick not without a prick

The almond fruit
What lies within
Its treasured nut entrapped

I watched in awe, her beauty
Her smile competes with the rising sun
Her skin reflects its radiance

Her voice echoes through my head
And like the sound of a sweet melody
It moves me as it soothes me

Her walk is like music
Its it's rhythm so defined
It resonates in me

She is beautiful
One day she shall be mine
What price shall I have to pay
