The Revel Casino - The Big Gamble

Do we really need yet another casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey? Revel's owners are betting very very big bucks we do.

The Revel

Ok, I will admit I am not a big fan of gambling. Casino's don't do a thing for me except take my hard-earned money. The slot machines make that wonderful noise and eat up my quarters like crazy. The routlette wheel goes around and around and where it lands - well, not on my number.

The Revel, owners, though are betting you will come and stay - not just day-trip.

The Revel is Atlantic City's 12th casino - the first built from the ground-up since 2003. It is a 20 acre resort with silvery-blue reflective glass. It literally curls to and fro like the ocean it embraces. It is 47 stores tall - the city's tallest building. It is the first totally smoke-free casino. Hmmm, I may change my mind and visit The Revel.

The Revel is 6.3 million square feet. It has 1,898 rooms. It has 14 restaurants. The Revel has 55,000 square feet of retail space. Ten pools. 2,500 slot machines. 150 table games. Two theaters with the capacity of 5,050 and 700 respectively. Two night clubs are also on the premises. Now who could ask for anything more? And, oh yes, every room has an ocean or bay view. Very nice!

The Revel has a 'soft' opening on April 2nd with their premiere on Memorial Day weekend.

And, oh yes, Beyonce will be performing there May 25, 26 and 27th. Now that is very nice!

Happy traveling!
