The Sailing Mermaids

You do feel sorry if you lose a piece of your creation, even if it is something small and trivial.
This is a poem about feeling sorry for a painting done by me and then finally coming to terms with the loss.

Never mind, the day will pass.

On my dining table there was no bread

Only the picture lay there instead.

But it wasn’t fair

That wasn’t its rightful place

Thus after sometime there was no trace

Someone made off with it.

I know the person well

But I didn’t point out

A trivial, there are greater things to worry about.

After all the effort I was sorry

However it has generated some poetry.

To take the cues from this

Whenever I am wronged,

I remember the day will pass

Nothing is static and staid

But is forever sailing,

It is sailing like a mermaid.

Mermaids sail? I wasn't aware :)
And I think it should be "A triviality"*, rather than "a trivial".
Aside from that, I have no criticism... a short, sad and sweet poem. I also love the word 'staid'.
