The Ship Banshee

The Banshee sailing from Cadiz
to St. John’s Newfoundland
On May fourteenth in 1912
Captain Willis in command
wreckage had been sighted
in the ocean tossed around
where just a few days earlier
The Titanic had gone down

It was just a short time later
The Banshee’s crew had found
there floating in the wreckage
two bodies both face down
puzzled by these sightings
the ship continued on
not knowing bout the Titanic
til landing in St. John’s

Upon arrival in St. John’s
the Banshee’s crew had learned
about the great disaster
that was causing much concern
The Titanic hit an iceberg
and sank beneath the sea
taking with her many lives
she’s now Nearer My God to Thee
