A representation of wishful thinking, of hope for brighter days to come, for winter's frozen embrace to leave us and for the bloom of beautiful spring days to shower our days with color.

Sleeping Gardens.

Jack Frost has come and worked his magic,
He has turned the land in to a frozen winter wonderland,
Yet beneath the snowy splendor,
Lay sleeping gardens waiting for spring to come.

In this frosty winter night,
Snuggled in mother earth’s folds,
Dream the gardens of sunny days to come,
Sound asleep are the gardens of spring.

Dreams of Spring.

Sunny days and blue skies,
Bees and frolicking butterflies,
Emerald green leafs,
Enchanting fragrances coat each dream of the sleeping gardens.

Warm sun rays caressing sleeping petals,
To wake upon blue spring skies,
Spread colorful leafs and petals,
To display spring blooms in all their elegance.

Dreams of brighter days,
Dreams of promising futures,
The whisper of spring’s romance calls,
Weaving sleeping spring garden’s dreams.

On Winter Nights the Gardens Sleep.

Tonight the gardens sleep,
Patiently waiting warmer spring days.
Dreaming to dress up in their most splendid of blooms,
They dream of lady spring to come and wake them,
For the sleeping gardens in the spring afternoons want to dance.

They peacefully rest in winter slumber,
Their bright spring days couldn’t come sooner,
They want their chance at spring’s love,
They want to join in springs alluring romance dance.

But tonight the gardens must sleep,
Snowflakes flutter in the wind,
Their dance painting a picture,
An image of the sleeping garden’s dreams of spring.

I love to work the earth, grow gardens of flowers and vegis…Your poetry reminds me it is almost time to start getting ready. I am always happy when a poet comes to wikinut, and when they get that first star and the confidence grows.
