The Top 3 Bad Moods: Feelings And Emotions Of A Being So Alive

After receiving immense encouragement from my last poetry collection about Africa, I decided to compile another set of poems on moods. Normally, when emotions or moods are linked with poetry, all our minds and thoughts run to love, romance, sweet hot passion etc. So, I will try to go on a different direction now, dedicating this set of poems to negative moods or emotions. I hope you like them

Negative Emotions & Moods

I am also an active writer in hubpages and as well take part in some of the forum discussions they do have and one of it was about the worst mood writers do experience. Out of the several hundred comments, based on my personal observation, the one coming out tops was depression. Deep depression in form of melancholia. Then of course anger came second and finally, loneliness was the third. Amazingly, some of the writers say they get more inspired when in such moods (especially when lonely). As much as I find this sad, it is also interesting. So, the top three negative moods are as follows:
1. Depression
2. Anger
3. Loneliness
; and my three poems here would be on these three moods, beginning from the rare. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride into the world of bad moods!

Loneliness: I Miss You So Much Love- I am Lonely

Your chase!
Reminiscing on the oceans I had to dry up
and the volcanos I had to ice up
just to capture the epicenter of your heart
well protected by strong canines
of your carnivorous standards.

Hanging with the clouds of the highest heights
and combating with the dragons
of the Amazon Forest
was worth all the efforts
to save your love in the Bank of my heart.

Your Love!
shines in vitality
attracting even the goddess of sexuality
as it preserves the indwelling desires of two hearts.

We stayed isolated in the entire world
at midnight, siting on the mountain top
the moon directly above us
showcasing our shadows
melted together with no space in between.
The stars, singing hymns of love
while the trees danced to the romantic melody.

Just the two of us
and the entire universe
bridged by space full of your praise as I behold my Queen.
Whose beauty compresses the wealth of Europe
and gentleness makes
the Dove and the River team up in envy.

Your absence!
Life endeavours have fixed
putting us in an equilibrium of distance
as I perish in a state; psychiatry has no definition.

In the midst of Adult Buffalos
you leave an unprotected Cub.
You aren't gone, just far away
yet I feel like a member of a loser's club
as love has converted me to a scrub.

Thinking I'd be as worse as
a depression endemic atmosphere
with loneliness and plutonic cold its major contents,
unfortunately, my heart is its suburb
completely eaten up and infected.

What can make me lay for days
in the bathtub;
rejecting everything beautiful and lovely,
and the ointment of darkness I rub?

To all these my Love!
Your absence is the nub.
But I need to stay strong
as I await the purification of your presence once again.

Anger: "Get The Hell Outta Here, I'm So Mad At You!"

Woe unto you!
a miserable acquaintance,
it seems you want to taste
the unpleasant half of me
and toil in the inferno of my anger.

Get up and leave!
because I burn and yearn
to inflict misery and disaster.
As you go,
pick up with you
what is left of our union.

The same Sun
which provides nourishment
to the flower
can equally burn
its beautiful petals
and dry its stalk.

The same water
which enriches the Earth
can swallow all its belongings
when tried and tested.

The same dog,
attractive, loyal and humble
can become a raging storm
to its master in madness.

Any bond we have at all
I want to break up
and the fire you've ignited,
I want to build up.

My Flames will catch up with you
as you've used up to fullness
the cup of my patience.

My every word
is a syrup of poison
their effect; nothing can cover up
not even the best make up.
As I wish to set you up
and cause your downfall.

I line up the soldiers of your torment
and mix up your blessings with curses.

As intense as this may be
they are mere words
from the lips of my anger
uttered just some minutes ago.
Come and dine with me
Cos now, I'm calm.

As we eat our meal
and share from the same bottle of friendship
while you forget these words
and forgive my soul for ever uttering them.

Melancholia: Leave Me Alone, I've Always Been Alone And I want To Be Alone!

A disease intrinsic and quiet
infesting a soul which submissively accepts
presenting self inflicting suffering
to the body which covers it
and committing treason, to a cohabiting spirit.

The record keeper of happiness
loses his work from gross idleness.
The fuel of laughter
even with words and lines so sophisticated
making the inanimate change state
cannot drag a drop of smile
from this soul so wary and pressed.

Company is replaced with tears
and all feelings, compressed into one.
Cracking an egg shell from its edges
is simpler than distinguishing its moods.

What a soul!
Why were you created when nature was sad?
Why were you formed when the gods were asleep?
Why were you blessed when the daughters of cheerfulness were drunk?

The cloth of loneliness
and the perfume of silence,
you need to unwear no matter how hard.
This will put on the light of proper existence
for you to bathe in the spring
of Life's beautiful varieties!

Good morning, Funom, the intensity of the emotions were richly captured in the poetry. I also am on Hub, and like it, however, I find the community here more generous in comments, critique and support. Glad you ventured into poetry here - there are some wonderful advocates of them as well as mentors. ~Marilyn

Thanks a lot MarilynDavisatTIERS... U just said it all. Hubpages may be excellent in terms of their earning program and four-way system of earning... I still find wikinut more of a complete "FAMILY" And a perfect forum to learn, network, and share ideas... Also wikinut has an unbelievable amount of traffic. This site is so favoured by google... I think it is largely due to the low level of placed ads on its pages and google finds it extremely genuine.. So, I try to balance the two sites and if u notice, most of my wikinut articles have backlinks to my hubpages articles, taking advantage of the two to better both my traffic and earnings. Thanks a lot for your comment MArilyn.. U are also an icon in this wonderful site.

Good morning again, Funom, I do not believe I have ever been called an icon - maybe finally in my old age living up to the name, Marilyn - now Monroe was an icon, however, I do appreciate your kind words. I have not linked back to Hub, might try that in my next if appropriate - thank you for the advice. ~Marilyn
