The Wheel Never Stops

Wealth and power are the two wheels that facilitate the chariots of tyrants to ride on

The Wheel

Look at the wheel,
Savages carved.
It never stops!
The dust of millennia
The blood of centuries
And the tissues of day and night
Are pasted on it
The wheel moves on…

Flatterers put oil on it
Conspirators add spokes
For tyrants to ride on.
Revolutionaries tried to block its way
But, poet laureates and historians feed on
The debris stuck to it, licking greedily.
The wheel is growing all the more heavy;
Like a mountainous coin
It crushes peasants, fisherman and coolies alike.
Bull and bear
Pull the wheel
Into the new era of modern slavery;
It stops not, the eternal wheel.

Great feel here, John. Unfortunately, human mind works selfishly. When one is in power, they tend to lose focus. They are all the same. Instead of doing good and looking ahead, they go after the past to settle scores! Politicians of all shades are the same - from communists to those who get to power based on religion or caste in India. Selfishness prevails and also huge EGO! siva

It is true sir. Power makes human beings mad. There
is no difference whether it is communism or capitalism, muslim, christian or hindu.
Thanks
