Two poems about winter and its profound calling for men to commune

Commune to tie..

gath·er·ing
ˈɡaT͟H(ə)riNG/
(noun) -an assembly or meeting, especially a social or festive one or one held for a specific purpose. Example: "a family gathering"

“Sometimes our fate resembles a fruit tree in winter. Who would think that those branches would turn green again and blossom, but we hope it, we know it.
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Wingter Gathering

Long before man tried to tame this violent Earth
Instinct-driven animals wandered and rebirth
in the tedious process to survive a life
every one big and small, peacetime come strife
when season calls, they either go south
for migration and to feed their mouth.

Today man prepares their sacred legal passport
to ensure legit entry for and every port,
economic driven or otherwise
makes us modern slaves or rather unwise
in quest of a good life we set forth
we thought can lead us to our true north.

For some, who settled but not left behind
they just hit the road mostly to unwind.
for us not so few, we grab our pen, and start writing
refusing to be idle and never returning
from our own maddening crowd we know not
as we commune to tie a common knot.

Anyone can write but we do realize,
only it's not for all to materialize
what it truly meant not to let ourselves down
be it a guest, a friend or just new in town
the cold frost, and clinking glass of red wine
we'll scribble till beyond Christmas time.

Welcome to the winter gathering!

Unfrozen thought

We are bonded by artistic morbidity
Introspect to whatever maybe
Norms neither emotion
Transcending nor
Ephemeral to
Reactions

Gain
Albeit written
Thru experiences
Honed by tranquility
Emulating the raw changes
Reminiscing the cold season
In either polar or temperate means
Noting the solstices of unique longing
Group or selfish share of our unfrozen thoughts.

The four seasons are determined by shifting sunlight (not heat!)—which is determined by how our planet orbits the Sun and the tilt of its axis.
The winter solstice is the darkest day of the year when the Sun reaches its most southern point in the sky at local noon. After this date, the days start getting “longer,” i.e., the amount of daylight begins to increase this year winter will officially begins on December 21, 11:48 P.M. EST
