The Write Persistence

Quitters! Many online writers become quitters because they are not realistic about what to expect. What people need to realize is that anything that is some form of residual income takes time to build up. Online writing is a game of years and will not be big money within a week.

Where should I write?

This all depends on what fits your personality. Personally, I write articles that offer goods for sale as well as information at Hubpages. This is a site that you can link with and eBay. This is good for adding revenue to your bottom line.
Currently, I am spending a lot of time here at WikiNut. WikiNut has one of the best communities that I have seen so far. People are friendly, helpful, and there is a warmth about the community. That may seem a little odd because this is an online writing community, but it is true. If you are going to start writing online, this is one site that I would recommend.
But for your writing, I would suggest trying out a couple sites and see what suits you best. There are a lot of writing sites out there; it comes down to finding a site that fits your style and feels good to you. I know that you will be seeing more of my writing here at WikiNut.

How long before I make money?

This all depends on what you are writing and how you are writing it. I know some people who started making $50.00 USD in a matter of a couple months to some people that have written for almost two years and haven't made $50.00 USD yet. And I also know people who make over $1,200.00 USD a month, but it took them over three years to get to that point. I know no one that has made good money from writing online in less than three years. I am not saying it can not or will not happen, but the chances are very slim. This person would be the exception to the rule.
If you are looking for a residual income, share profit sites are an option. But plan on spending time building your article foundation up, learning a lot about online marketing, linking, goal setting, and especially on how to network. I say, you should do it. Writing is a great way to express yourself, and has a great potential for making money.

I want to write, what should I do next.

What should you do next? You should sign up to write, sign up here at WikiNut. And write a page about who you are and what you are doing. Bam, your first page is done here and people get to know you. After that find my profile and send me a comment, here is a link to my profile.
I hope to see you later. If you need encouragement to keep on writing - send me a notice and I will get behind you. The major thing is keep writing. And a great thing about WikiNut is that you can write about most anything. So if you need a break from doing keyword research and then writing an article based on those keywords - then sit down and write about why something that makes you happy and post it here. See you around.

I've been writing online for about four years. It is gratifying just to write and share information, but the residual money also is a factor. I have left several sites simply because they don't seem to have any readership other than what the writer brings to it him/herself. I am one that doesn't want to spend a lot of time doing back links and other links. We'll see how this site goes, as I still want to share with others. Thanks for the encouragement!

The linking is what I don't like, it is like paperwork to me. I just enjoy writing. Most times I don't do research on the keywords. I should try for a month and see if there is a difference.
