With such a wretched and accursed condition that we find ourselves in, it appears as if there is no hope therein, our sin is incurable to any moral power, only the law of the life of the Spirit in Christ Jesus can set us free from the law of sin and death.

Justification of life

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin condemned sin in the flesh." Deadness is a weakness that God calls wickedness.

The heart of man is not only weak, but it is desperately wicked; and that deceitfulness of heart does nothing to flatter us, With such a wretched and accursed condition that we find ourselves in, it appears as if there is no hope therein, our sin is incurable to any moral power, only the law of the life of the Spirit in Christ Jesus can set us free from the law of sin and death.

God curse the serpent when He knew that it was actually Satan who had led Adam and Eve into sin, and the fate of the serpent is just an illustration. The curse of the serpent will one day be the fate of Satan himself (Revelation 20:10; Ezekiel 28:18-19).

We all know from an early age, the unfortunate account of how events played out for Adam and Eve, sometimes we are appalled at the swift justice that was dealt to them, at other times; we are sympathetic to their plight, but also thankful that they were in our place receiving punishment for the errors of their way.

Giving us the dramatic sentence of Adam and Eve, who was beguile by the serpent and yielded to temptation by the alluring fruit on the forbidden tree, which they both ate, by their disobedience to a direct command, Gods judgment was swift decisive, he was not sympatric to their was action, nor was he too harsh in sentencing them out of the garden, to live for the rest of their lives with a bad conscience.

By disobeying God, Adam and Eve was given a suspended life sentence, and commission to do community service, Adam for tiling the ground in the sweat of his brow. Eve was to have sorrow and conception pain during childbirth; this was the legislation of the law of sin and death.

The consequence of their behavior became a burden for all of their descendants. "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. Therefore sin resulted in death" (Romans 5:12).

As by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one came the free gift upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Mankind is presently outside the equator of the circle painfully looking in, yearning for the changes, anticipation the millennium and the glorious kingdom reign of Christ, which is very much at the forefront of every Christian mindset. The law of sin and death will no longer have dominion over mankind.

It takes God to draw us upwards beyond our own earthly elements, it takes such a power of admiration that in itself we cannot fathom, for God’s Spirit comes and goes as he will, every person has weight, and every transgression has peculiar emphasis, which requires the application of law.

There is a gradation that the mystery of God goes till we come to maturity, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Every word from the Lord hath a degree of accomplishment, and every transgression will receive a just recompense, God will stop sin from rising high. By sending his Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but to save it, this merciful act hath great weight of wonder in it.
