The left handed old rugby player

Old Rugby players never die or give up, they just go on and go on facing each life's new challenges with a renewed effort.

Never give up.

I am left handed but the world is a right handed place, tin openers, credit care swipe machines are on the right, wrist watches wind up on the right and if you look the pen on the end of a chain in a bank is always on the right, it is all very frustrating

I read the other day that people that are left-handed have a tendency to be more persistence and have a higher degree of perseverance, I suppose in a right handed world you have to be. Now whether that is true or not I don't know and after some probing into that weird part of my mind I came up with this poem
As I am left handed and enjoy a good game of rugby I thought in honour of International Lefthanders Day on August 13th

The Poem

It’s very sore, to get a kick in the jaw,
From a left handed old rugby player
Yet you go back for more, to try and even the score,
From that left-hand old rugby player

You get kicked once again and count one to ten
As you glare at that old rugby player
OK now, it’s not a game anymore, this is becoming a war,
Between you and that old rugby player

The crowd shout, "give in." but you shrug with a grin,
Their advice you just choose to ignore
He gives you look, not found in any phrase book,
Saying now you’re just becoming a bore

A charge of the pack, you shout I’m coming back
He just stands there like an old Dragonslayer
You charge, with your head up high, this time it’s to do or to die,
And you score with a try against that left handed, old rugby player

It is hard being left handed

Around 10% of people are left-handed and most Geniuses were left handed, including Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, Barak Obama, Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey and Leonardo da Vinci
I am not sure about rugby players, but 31% of Major League Baseball pitchers are left-handed.

I am one of the lucky lefty's because to some degree I am also ambidexterity, I can do most things with both my right and left hand with the exception of writing.
In boxing Southpaw is the name of a left-hander in other words and I quote from Wikipedia "A southpaw has his right hand and right foot forward, leading with right jabs, and following with a left cross right hook"

In good company

Even a pencil sharpener is right handed

I am one of the lucky lefty's because to some degree I am also ambidexterity, I can do most things with both my right and left hand with the exception of writing.
