The mischievousness of little boys.

I noticed one day how different my two kids are from each other, my girl loves frills and dolls but my boy is adventurous and loves the outdoors.

Boys will be boys.

Playing with trucks,
or climbing trees...
wallowing in mud,
or stoning hives of bees.
Boys will be boys,
forever mischievous,
cunningly playing the part,
forever knowing,
the softness in mummy's heart,
will spare him the spanking,
he surely deserves,
he's not bad,
he's just a boy...
and boys you know
can never be coy.

Let him be...

So let him play in the mud,
and kick his ball,
let him spin around,
for you to catch his fall.
Let him be a boy,
the way he was made,
because soon boyhood,
will be a memory,
it even might fade,
but in his mind,
his boyhood was good,
for he was allowed,
and not misunderstood,
for being mischievous,
and purposely devious.
But he was a boy,
and boys will be boys.
