Sure enough, the dogs worked down the logs until they had fallen over, with one end sticking into the tunnel, taking up a lot of space and making it impossible for the warthog to move properly in the already narrow tunnel.

They Won't Stop Until There's Death!

Marzeus tries to work it out from among the dogs. He finally manages to get the bigger log out of the way. At least now it will not hinder the warthog, but now of course the dogs are all jumping in freely.

Desperate, Marzeus simply slap the dogs and then finds a stick to hit them with. They barely notice.

But one little dog, Cowow, must have noticed that Marzeus doesn't want them to be doing what they're doing, because now Cowow starts biting the other dogs from behind, trying to discourage them in what they're doing.

One of the big brown dogs, Corndog, suddenly jumps back and starts fiercely attacking Cowow. They're all over the place.

Doesn't take long before Cowow's spirit is broken, and Corndog along with the others get back to barking at and biting the warthog.

There is blood all over their mouths by now. Marzeus thinks it might be from their biting and trying to chew off the warthogs huge pointy teeth. But it does seem like the warthog also got a few wounds on his snout.

Well, there are no materials to close up the hole, and the dogs are obviously not getting discouraged. Out of sheer desperation, Marzeus starts walking home. Perhaps the dogs will follow if they tired themselves out, but Marzeus doubts it. They'll probably stay there all day and all night and then some, if it means they can finally dig out the warthog, alive or dead.

With a little bit of effort Marzeus gets Majesty and Cowow to come with him. Majesty keeps looking back as they're walking, but a few stern orders get him to keep coming along. After some distance, the dogs' barking have become inaudible.
