Though Long and dreadful, the darkness has now become Light

This is a Poem been dedicated to Pregnant women in Labor. It simply brings out the tough experience they go through, the pains they suffer from and their reaction during this situation. Some even go as far as cursing and hating (their Men, especially)..... But everything is for a while and after delivery, smiles exist again.

Notorious in Her screams

Her clothes soaks in a sea of sweat,
her skin wet, brown and muddy,
as though floating in a Lake with debris.
Notorious in her screams
and dangerous in her gaze

Making her the worst villain of the neighborhood
been greatly antagonistic to Manhood
as agony and frustration befell her,
comparative to experiencing a difficult means of Livelihood.
Medication may be an immediate remedy
but will not stop her hatred towards the brotherhood.

Why is Humanity propagated through such Pain?

In difficulty, she curses and swears,
her sexuality, been the target and victim.
Increase severity of her present situation,
makes her casualty to moral decadence
and deterring her ability to be sane.
Her thinking faculty, substituted with rage,
and naughty questions flooding her mind
like the spring as she wondered
why Humanity is propagated through such pain

Finally, Joy from a Newborn Cry

The Balloon of Life gone so flaccid,
her pains, like the infiltrating effect of an Acid.
Just one last push to proceed,
knowing fully well, she will succeed
and finally, the glorious result of a seed.

She has been in a Barren Land so dry,
the feeling of darkness, she is ready to fry
the transition to light, she gives a try
which becomes accomplished with a Newborn's cry.

Yes, this was/is definitely a start quality page and stars are darn hard to earn in the poetry department. This poem was definitely a "Labor" of love.

A mother I became as i bled blood,
Poured in litres created flood.
For there was no water as I was Strep B,
And the midwife then said just let it be.

Breathless I was shades colour below,
Breathing was laboured, gait was slow.
For I was labouring with the mistake in hand,
While she went to play with the new jobbed husband.

Neglecting his wife in pub late would stay,
Coming up happy and caused skies go grey.
No one to turn no doctor in sight,
No check up made after a long haul flight.

I bore it all with a smile singing to my son,
My pride my joy, my little one.
Lullubys for him I did write and sing,
Myriad of smiles it did to his face bring.

Went into labour at forty weeks,
No pain but just blood in constant leaks.
Within an hour the baby was born,
In blood of Adonis, the Sun was shone.

For in the whole labour it was painful and dry,
All I did was scream and look up to the sky.

For the husband was sprawled on seat,
While the labour contained immense heat.
All was on fire with red orange not brown,
With a monitor attached to son's crown.

He is lived because I pushed before dialated you see,
It gave him the push and got a baby for ME.
To love and cherish as my first born son,
The beautiful blest soul, my only One.

By Anisha Achankunju (Lady Aiyanna)(C) 24th February 2012

I had something called a dry labour at 42 weeks and poured blood not water. It will be in the Newspapers shortly as I have had enough with the lies my best friend h been spreading around with his prostitutes he has been visiting during his work hours.

Not all of us have the above kind of delivery. I had a normal with an episiotomy and with less than 6 hours of labour because I drank Castor Oil to go into labour which was elusive even at 42 weeks with not even a false labour.

Yes, my son was born within wedlock and after four years of marriage.
