Timeless

Rebounding into a relationship is not the best cure for a heartache. In fact, it makes your heart ache just that little bit more. You can also end up meeting a heartbreaker.
What rebounding does allow, is, it enables you to forge and coincide new relationships. For better or for worse.

Timeless

Distance and time forever will stay,
As the sands of time drifts away.

So in receiving this letter here today,
I really don't wish to cause dismay,
But simply impart what I want to say.

Gone are the days we phoned each day,
Listening with pleasure to what we had to say.
Gone are the days we used to play,
With each other in that special way.

Bad experiences seem only a relationship away,
So I think, "why wait?" For the fateful day,
When my actions, can, at least, delay,
And at best, hold at bay, any further dismay.

Repeat. The word, is a mere instant replay.
Relationships like ours start out, fun, happy and gay.
Then the fun, happiness and gaiety erodes away.
I blame the distance. The times alone, I lay.

Like the sands of time, what we had, has drifted away.
And I pray you meet someone that you can sway,
Into sharing and living life, your way.

Distance and time forever will stay.
Whilst the sand that binds, crumble away.

My poetry tend to veer towards feelings of emotion. Love. Sex. Desire. Most of my verses will reflect these sentiments as I mainly write straight from the heart. 31 Jan 15.

Love the rhyme that the poem has and it seems like I am singing a melody. Great work.

A well scripted poem to the partner with whom you have broken a relationship. This should provide a soothing balm to any hurt caused. Well done.
