To my beloved children

A letter to my children to let them know just how much I care about them.

To my boys

My precious little angels;
I tell you I love and you tell me that you love me more. I laugh and tell you there is no way and yet you still argue. I'll wait till you have children of your own and ask you if you still feel the same then. No one knows the extent of a mother's love for their children except a mother.

What you don't know is that every night after I read to you and you're safely tucked into bed I stand at your door and say a prayer for you. I pray for your protection and peace to surround you no matter where you are. I check on you through out the night to make sure you are still ok. When you're sick, I hardly sleep, I may even wake you up in the middle of the night to give you more medicine so that you will not wake up in so much pain. I hold you when you hurt and I ache to take away your pain.

I scold you so that you grow up into strong, independent, responsible men. I want you to be the most productive individuals that you can be. I pray that I never do anything that may lead you astray. I enforce rules so that you know how to handle life. I teach you to cook and clean so that you never rely on someone else to do things for you. I expect your best because I know that you are capable of it.

All I want

All I want in return is that you grow up to be respectable, caring and loving men that will always do the right thing, even if it's hard. I want you to know that no matter what happens in life, you are my most precious accomplishments and I thank God for you every day. I love you more than life itself. I love you beyond all the universes in the world and back (the same thing that you tell me now) When your teenage years are here and you decide that you "hate me" I will remember what you have told me all these years. I will remember the hugs and kisses and the "thank you's" that you have given me. I will remember that the teenage years will pass as well, just as they did when I was that age.

To my dearest children- I will always love you!
