Disorders are not easy to live with; they cause a lot of strife and sometimes it can get overwhelming. How does one snap out of a funk you can only get from the stresses of life? I try to fight through it, and other times I succumb to it.

I Sit In Noise

I sit in noise
life isn't all about toys
but why can't I be like those other boys
cool, respected, loved, desired --
why can't I be admired?

Trapped in the box I've created for me
isolated from everyone --
when there is possibility of disappointment I flee
in a comfort zone without windows
too afraid to go see
I don't want to get hurt anymore...

A life of a disorder war
fighting to stay sane
sifting through all the pain
I think differently than normal people
I found peace once underneath a steeple
When will I know?
When will my strife go?
I just want to be free
please God take it away
