A day in my shoes - starting with a worm that was never mine, and ending in a cup of sweet bitterness.

Twenty-four hours or a little less

breakfast - the worm that's never for the late bird; though nobody ever said that worms were early.

basketball - happiness in short supply. the ever sought for hour; but an hour is an hour, and then it is no more.

friends - always with benefits. a friend in need, plus the appropriate interest rates.

economics - the unrequited love. a 5-year frustration of an academic-wannabe.

work - the inevitable folly. a living earned in place of a life.

money - misallocated goodness; held in desperate hands during the time of a desperate need.

japanese language professor - the upright without common sense. an unchallenged victor, a winner by default.

exam - tomorrow, 2 days after tomorrow, and 4 days after that. a curse to those who persist.

coffee - the sweetest bitterness there ever was.

I write to remember that not very long ago, I believed that the teru-teru bozu would keep the rain away.
