Poems on two different men-one an interesting chatterbox and other a clever trickster

He was talking and I was listening….

He was talking to me,
I was listening,
He told me stories of interesting happenings
In his life since the last time we met,
I did not have much to say,
I was not a talker, I was more a listener,
When I told him that someday I would
Become a writer and write the stories he told,
Then he started talking about
All the famous writers he knew
And their stories which he read,
He was still talking
And I was listening..

He came out of nowhere....

He came out of nowhere to the party,
He had many a tricks up his sleeve,
He pulled cards out of nowhere,
He made rabbits jump out of hat,
He released birds out of scarf,
He drew flowers out of cap,
His stunts made everyone laugh and clap.
His cleverest trick was when
He vanished suddenly during dinner,
With him vanished jewels and dollars
To the nowhere from where he had come.
