Another installment from the collaborations of Justin LaFountain and Jasmine Cook :)

Violet's Wish (seventh Jasmine)

Lightning strikes a pose
shocks the silhouette
who would’ve ever known
she speaks in pirouettes
the house on the hill is hidden from view
a childhood mild wood far and few
between the lines
blackened eyes
escape awaits
they’ll be mesmorized
how do I express
what is so hard to say
how do I stress
take time to play
it’s a miracle
in spiritual
lyrical form
fantastic
like magic
habitual norm
it’s purple
it’s plastic
it’s worth it
and dramatic
you’ll see what I see and then you’ll have to have it
an acrobatic
balancing life’s situations
on automatic
grasping life’s limitations
look to the sky
it doesn’t stop there
See all those stars?
Way up where?
Where you become immortalized.
Where they place you in forever.
Stop looking down.
Never say never.

Aspiring young author that just loves to write :) I have two books out now! 'Doing Something Right', being the most recent. I wrote primarily for my children and am sure anyone can relate to it :)

Lovely words. It is clear to see that events from your past have shaped your poem so well...thanks for sharing your thoughts.
