Waiting For Love

A poem about how a friendship blossomed into a passionate love only to be lost in the end. While, the door is still open for it to return someday.

Love Around the Corner

I've known your name forever,
I knew you back then when your name was familiar,
but your heart was a stranger,
Then by chance you ended up here as a neighbor,
around the corner,
Somehow time pushed us closer,
and I gained a friend to confide in whenever I chose,
Though all of a sudden, there you were,
looking at me in a different way
and I found myself,
a new best friend,
It truly was an adventure searching each others' hearts
to find real meaning,
Some can view that portion of time as wasted,
but I, will always cherish it,
As far as I'm concerned there were only good times
worthy of attention,
They will always be inside me every day
as I shape my person around them,
After all they taught me how to love,
at least, what it really is about,
Now you are a special friend,
but my heart is just around the corner,
waiting,
for the chance,
to get to know you better again.
