We are the Living Cross

This is a poem about the cross as a symbol of the human body in service to the spirit and our function of bringing the high spiritual vibration of love into the density of matter.

We are the living cross
Embodiment of duality
Standing between earth and heaven
Without a home
Here we are hung between body and spirit
Love and fear
Heart and mind
Torn between opposites
No solace we find

We are a living breathing cross
Our feet on earth
Our head in heaven
Arms outspread beseeching
Asking why?
Crucified in separation
From each other and ourselves
Asking for answers
But not listening

If we listen we will hear the call
To accept our function
To stand between two worlds
Embody the intersection where they meet
Embracing both physical and spiritual
Becoming the living cross, the transformation
Living blessing

Earth and Sky

We are the channel for divine energy if we choose
We absorb the light and root it in the earth
In this planet of greatest density
We came to bring the light of truth
The truth of love that can not be understood
But held within the heart of good
Where light has come
And darkness is resolved
Where crossbars meet
The oneness has evolved

The Never Ending Circle

We are the living cross
And when we choose to see non dually
And embrace the underlying wholeness and the unity
We will stretch out our arms in gratitude and blessing
Enclosing all seeming opposites
In the circle that is never ending

Thank you Fern. You should be proud of being Irish. I've never been there, but it seems to be a mystical land and with so many great writers.
