What Kind of Girl are You? a poem by Jennifer Jo Fay

What Kind of Girl are You?

So, we want to know,
what kind of girl are you?
Are you a heart on your sleeve
kind of girl?
Or do you stuff your feelings
into a secret vault
only to be opened by you?
Do you say what you feel,
or do you keep things
bottled up within?
How do you choose to live?
Are you a girl who chooses
to go with the flow
or are you one of those girls
who flys by the seat of her pants?
Are you a girl who is willing
to bungy jump
or are you timid and sweet?
Are you the girl
who sits back and
watches life pass her by?
Which one are you?
Are you the girl
who puts her family first?
Or are you the one
who lets a stranger into your life?
Are you a girl who
goes by spur of the moment?
Or are you meticulousy planned out?
Do you like flowers?
Or would you rather have chocolates
by your side?
Are you the girl holding the tools
or are you the one
that watches a strong man
fix your stuff?
Who are you anyway?
Are you a girl who needs
to write down your thoughts?
Or do you like to
listen to your recorded voice?
Are you one that
likes to read a sexy romance novel?
Or are you the girl who
would rather read a good mystery?
Are you an ocean girl?
Or would you rather swim in the lake?
Do you like frogs?
Or would you rather listen
to the birds sing?
Are you the tomgirl that grew up?
Or are you the girlie girl?
Dresses or slacks?
Whispers in your ear or
pecks on the cheek?
Love notes or would you
rather say it with words?
Are you the girl who waits
for a man to open the door?
Or are you one that
stands up for equality?
Are you deeply in love?
Or is it just skin deep?
Do you believe in the sacredness
of marriage,
or are you the girl
who just wants a fling?
Are you one of those girls
who grew up with morals?
Or are you one
that has no manners?
Are you a girl
who wants to cling
to her love
or are you a girl
who lets him have his space?
Can you stand alone in a room
and be okay without
him by your side every minute?
Or are you always seeking
him out?
Are you a girl who likes to smother?
Or are you one that needs
your girl time or a quiet solitude?
Are you a girl who gets angry
easily?
Or are you a girl who
lets it slide?
So, now we are waiting?
Which one are you?
Are you the one that is going
to go for the moon?
Or are you the one
who just wants to sit back
and wait?
Either way,
they're both okay.

Not sure about others but I know when I give my love to someone special it is forever and there is no second chance. I love just once and there is no other for me.
If at all there are others who do come close (there are none in my life now), they are compromises as my heart will always belong to my first love.
Okay not a bed hopper either, so one of those nuns as you call of the modern day, boring moral values type...

That's how I feel too. Once you find that special someone that is it for me too. Found him!
Nice to meet you.

I just love your poem as it breezes though the many faces of women and their womanhood. An impressive bio as well my friend a hearty and warm welcome to you here on wikinut.com. May you also experience the feeling of family and belonging amid the writers gracing the pages of wikinut.

Thanks. I like how this site is set up. I had a learning experience on hubpages and they kicked out a newbie. I have learned how things work now.
