Fictional short story told in a bit of a poetic form. I believe with all my heart prayers and kisses reach and move the heavens almighty, especially those so sincere and of such faith from a child!

When Kisses Touch Heaven!

Kinona her given name
No father ever mentioned
Kinona wasn’t the blame
Her mother sorry, one intention
Kinona ..know the ways of God
Before age two Kinona begin praying
Her mama taught Kinona ..a kiss
So after each prayer, kneeling
A special kiss given to Jesus
Also each night before bed, prayer and story
Samson, Noah, Moses, all believers
Others too, Kinona heard the glory
One night she asked if these ..kisses?
Kinona five now, kisses to Jesus
Her mama said, yes in their own way
Kinona age seven, Bible so well
Kisses to Jesus, never missed a day
Kinona’s prayers so deep and powerful
Her kisses given was as a spray of flowers
Kinona ten now to Jesus dutiful
At school a witness, child with a glow
She’d tell the Bible stories believing
Things about God other children didn’t know
David, God’s power Goliath defeating
Powerful conviction others hearing receiving
Kinona age eleven, a girl so close to heaven
Now eleven years old never a day a kiss missed
Through illness, any situation, prayer and a kiss
Stories and Bible teachings, Kinona blessed
Many times now Kinona read to her mama
Spirit and presence of God fill the room
Through a mother’s Godly intention, Kinona
A girl that all knew, in her a sweet spirit loom
Kinona had troubles too, many never cared
Tired of hearing about Kinona so sweet
Yet through her trials Jesus still shared
She knew with all her heart someday Jesus meet
One night her mother got deathly ill
She awoke Kinona, pray for me please
Kinona begin to pray with tears, sickness not your will
Kinona kissed her mother’s cheek, illness eased
Her mother said your kiss did something
Kinona said, mother it was the prayer and the kiss
Same kiss I give to Jesus every evening
Kinona twelve now, a young girl whom God so blessed
One day walking into school, Kinona pushed
Jealous girl, Kinona’s head hit the corner brick wall
Then limp her body and head hard, concrete the fall
Ambulance came, but Kinona yet to respond
Weak heartbeat, her mother with tears rushed
Prayed and kissed her cheek, but soon Kinona gone
Everyone heart-broken but no one as much as her mama
Few agonizing days her mother, then the funeral
Funeral held at school, Kinona so well loved by most
Casket open, Kinona a white dress, as asleep so lovely
Somehow everyone knew Jesus a kiss, Kinona never boast
After the speaker, classmates something miraculously
As each one came up, each gently leaned and a kiss
Her cheek, tears and the love of Jesus felt
Many young and old touched by Kinona’s life
Gymnasium full, power of God so great many knelt
Different ones received Jesus into their hearts
School asked mother if they the epitaph?
On her gravestone was written, “through our school
this town many children smart and brave pass
But never a girl like Kinona ..God’s precious jewel!”
Someone later said of Kinona from the Lord a dream
There are no nights in heaven, but each day Kinona
A certain time God made the angels step aside each
Kinona make her way to the throne, a kiss to Jesus
All the angels and heaven rejoice each kiss
Because there really are times when kisses touch heaven!!

I can not understand all, but I can understand poems about mothers. And it makes sense

Ronnie, very powerful poem...my tears rolled by my check, I am touched by the way Kinona's life was presented in your poetic verse...very powerful poem..I felt sorry for her loss at a young age.I hope that girl who pushed her served her crime in jail when she reached maturity. You and I feel this thing as God lovers, believers, sons and daughters.I salute you for this very painful experience of a mother being loved so much by her daughter.Upbringing is very important...and very important to have a very strong relationship with the Lord. Amen to this.
