This is my favorite part or topic from the book of Wayne Cordeiro. When is Enough…Enough? It is a chapter of the book talking about contentment.

Lesson on Contentment

For the month of February, major changes happened in my life. In the new place where I live now I found lots of books, my brother said it was just given to him; others come from The 700 Club Asia. One of these books there is -The Seven Rules of Success by Wayne Cordeiro. This book is available in OMF Literature and also in Philippine Christian Bookstore. I am just on the Rule #2 and I am learning so much from it.

Rule #2 is about Contentment. It features the story of King David. It is about King David’s sin of adultery where he took Bathsheba, Uriah’s wife. A part of the book narrates about the prophet’s story of a rich man and a poor man. The rich man had flocks of sheep and the poor man has nothing but a lamb.

It simply explains that King David has everything, God gave him everything but he was a victim of “Malady of More”. He is not satisfied of what he already has, he wants more.

It also mention about the “Eat-All-you-Can Torture”. You will eat anything as long as you like even if it can be harmful to you already.

I guess many people including me are encountering this. We always want more; we never become contented of what we have. Like me, deep inside me, I want more; I am not contented with what I have. I should still have more.

I believe everything comes from God and everything is just a gift from him. They say life is a test and maybe God is also testing a lot of people in the area of contentment. He can test how our attitude in life when we have more and when we have less.

This is very true since we can find people out there who seems to have everything in life, every type of pleasure imaginable but seems to be unhappy and still wants more. When I look at other people who have more difficult life than I am, I start to realize how blessed I am but when I look for people with better status than I am, I start to doubt of God’s goodness and always complain.

In this book it mentioned about the way people say…”Just a little bit more”….to mean we still want more and what we have is not yet enough. …Just a little bit more and I will be contented. I admit I am also saying that… Just a little bit more God and I will be fine…

You already have these things but still want these...We always want more…We don’t want- just enough…

I believe God is teaching me the lesson of contentment everyday in my life. He could be saying directly to me…you are here again asking for something….I knew it! I knew you want something! It’s like I am being so demanding towards God as if I have all the right to ask this and that and would not wait of His grace or to wait for what he would give.

B-U-S-Y

This could be my last article here at wikinut because I am very busy right now; I need to focus on my work. Also, my schedule also had changed a lot. I said I will write every day here but I guess it is impossible to write now and to write more. I guess time is up and this is enough. I need to focus on something and I will be very busy now.

I watched a YouTube video before about the word BUSY. They say it means:

B-eing
U-nder
S-atan’s
Y-oke

I know being busy so much with all the worries of this life can get us away from God. We need to slow down at times and realize if what we are doing is enough already. I will be busy but I will also find regular time to listen to what God really wants.

With this I want to say, I had enough time here in Wikinut. Since, this could be my last article; I want to thank everyone here who spends a portion of their time and life for me. Thank you very much.

I would need to take a break. I have written so much in English and my presence is too much! It caused a lot of disruption! I want to ask sorry too before I go, I am prone to make mistakes, wish I am perfect!

There is a joke here in the Philippines, when they hear someone speaking in English for too long.. They would say—NOSEBLEED! –epistaxis in medical term. It means stop it! We are having a nosebleed. I am having a nosebleed already. I had worked in a medical transcription company and I also suffered nosebleed there and some hemorrhage. I need to recuperate.

In fact, I always have nosebleed attack when I read Buzz’s articles… (joke)..I am also proud of cowboynextdoor…(kaw na, da best ka!)

I would like to say before I go, thank you very, very much to everyone. I appreciate all. I am sorry for those people here I have caused a lot of trouble. God Bless you all!

Aubrey, you've worked so hard to be part of the wikinut mainstream. What made you decide to quit like that? Wikinut is a friendly community.

Sometimes a person is trying to help, but their help may seem like an insult or attack. It should never be taken personally.

We all enjoy having you here and welcome your contributions. Of course if you are busy we understand.
