This is a small collection of my haikus and other poetry.

A haiku is a Japanese poetic form. A haiku is written in three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and five syllables again in the third line. Haikus had started out as expressions of nature and has now evolved into any subject matter using the above format. The haiku is meant to give a complete picture of a scene or event is three short lines.

Burning the Midnight Oil

This is a haiku about the lonely life of a writer

Burning the Midnight Oil

Work in the morning

Writing all day long

Still at work beyond midnight

Broken and Who Am I?

This little poem that I wrote reflects the life of two of my friends. They have different personalities within them. People with Dissociative Identity disorder (DID) which used to be called Multiple Personality disorder (MPD) have shattered minds and often shattered lives because of it.

Broken: A Haiku

Self comes apart
Into little pieces

This next poem is not a haiku but it is the companion piece to Broken

Who Am I?

Who am I?
I ask myself I walking around in a haze
Is this real?
Can I trust the world I see?
Can I show the world who is me?
Can I let those people come out of me?
Who will understand?
Will they still love me?
Who are they loving anyhow Is it really me?
Who am I?
I can't trust myself I don't even know

New World Order

There has been much talk about a new world order; some thing it is a good thing, while others think of it as a bad thing. This little poem gives a hopeful spin on the subject.

New World Order

A pregnant thought
Gave way to the birth of an idea
The brainchild of the creator
Whose prodigy penetrated the world
With hope and love
That grew and prospered
Into a dynamic change for humankind
