Who Am I

It is amazing to think that Christ died for us, that not only did he die for us, but he suffered one of the most painful deaths imaginable, being crucified. How that must have hurt, but Christ did not come here to experience an easy life, he was ridiculed and mocked, long before he was crucified, and people were always questioning his authority.

Who Am I

Casting Crowns a well known Christian group sings a song called Who Am I. It asks about who we are to have Christ die for us basically, and the question is a good one, but it is not about our worthiness it is about his love. We as people are not worthy, but he paid for our forgiveness with our blood.

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You're

It is amazing to think that Christ died for us, that not only did he die for us, but he suffered one of the most painful deaths imaginable, being crucified. How that must have hurt, but Christ did not come here to experience an easy life, he was ridiculed and mocked, long before he was crucified, and people were always questioning his authority.

Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours

Even the most faithful Christians sometimes feel as if they are falling, they have moments they want to give in, but we must reach out in those weakest moments, reach out to Christ, reach out to him and he will hold you, the way a Mother holds a child, but his grip is even tighter than that, his love even stronger than a Mother’s love. Hard to imagine anything stronger than a Mother’s love, especially for me. I am blessed with a loving Mother, her and I have our disagreements, but despite everything I know she loves me and I know that she will help me in anyway she is able, but Christ’s love is even stronger than that. He came to this earth to die for us, crucified on that Cross.

Who Am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who Am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me

Christ calms the storms in our lives if only we let him, sometimes we are so busy trying to live our lives to succeed that we forget that Christ is the center of true success, because our successes here will not get us into Heaven. We are to store our true treasures up in Heaven, not on earth where they can be destroyed. Our true treasures are the things we can take with us to Heaven, that is to say our Soul, and the way we can do that is to accept Christ into our lives, I learned that ten and half years ago when I gave my heart to Jesus, and I learned how he calms the storms when just over a year later I lost three people, two friends a father and a son were brutally murdered in there homes in Feb of 1997, and my Dad’s dad died that year suddenly as well. If I had not given my heart to the Lord the year before I really do not know how I would have gotten through any of that. But Christ was there for me to calm that sea, and I was able to reach out to Christ.

I am Yours
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
'Cause I am Yours
I am Yours

Who Am I? I am Christ’s a child of God’s born again, and forgiven of my sins, and that is what truly matters, not my sins that were washed away, not the life I had before I became a Christ, because when I was born again he gave me a spiritual rebirth.

I so much love this song. This is a a great insight to the lyrics.
As insignificant as we make ourselves God still loves us more than anything.
