Whew! It's been a journey, and I'm nowhere near the finish line. Twenty-five Wikinut articles in less than 25 days. So far I've made less than 25 cents (American), but I've gained over 2500 page views and am working my way towards 25 new Wikifriends.

My 25th Wikinut Article

I had all sorts of ideas for article #25. When I wrote article #10, I tried to show what I had learned along the way. At 25, I want to be a bit more creative. We'll see if I can do 25 things about 25.
1. I've written 25 Wikinut articles.
2. I have been a Wikinut member less than 25 days.
3. I've made less than 25 cents (American).
4. I have well over 25 hundred total page views.
5. I expect if I looked back, I'd find at least 25 comments on pages I've written.
6. On articles written by those I follow, I would guess that articles I comment on have an average of 25 comments.
7. Out of every 25 comments I receive, one is generally so far afield I delete it.
8. Of the 25 people I've invited directly to join Wikinut, to date, only 8 have done so.
9. Out of every 25 articles written by others that I read in a week, at least 3 will inspire me to create new articles.
10. Number 9 explains partially why I have 1/5 of 25 unfinished drafts in my queue.

Egg on my face

OK. I'm stopping at 10. I was grasping at straws, and you certainly don't want to read what I don't want to write! I have not learned everything I need to in this life, but I have learned to put down the shovel from time to time. Let's keep moving forward, shall we?

For those more interested in looking back, or comparing stats, I have nothing to hide. Here is my first article for Wikinut. It has received 140 views so far.
Here is my 10th, at 180 views. Here is the article with the most page views -- 1588. Here is the article with the least,55, not counting articles published today. Here is the only article that could be considered completely fiction, it has 108 views so far. Here is the most newsworthy. It got 854. I was even able to write an article about being sick that got more views (736) than that poorly viewed book review -- while I was sick!! You can find it here. Sixteen of my 24 articles have been given stars by four different moderators. If you know me, you'd know how my face cracked like an egg each time I discovered that an article I'd written had been given a star. I walk around grinning like an -- well, like a frightening grinning person. Really. My neighbors don't know whether to be happy for me or run away. Since I can't run away from myself, I suppose I'll just write more -- like the next section!

Thank you, fellow Wikinuts!

A week ago, I almost stopped writing for this site. Some of you know the reason. Twenty-five cents for 25 days of work? (Sounds like a writer's life.) Unexpected drama on top of that made it very tempting to walk away. Or run. I did a lot of ranting that you were spared (and a little that you weren't). My apologies.
But like any other writer here, I have opinions and ideas that I want to express, and the possibility of being paid to post here what I might otherwise blog for free elsewhere is too tempting for the practical side of my creative self. I don't need to answer to haters. I stand behind both my writing and my privilege to continue to write and publish here. But my rights and privileges wouldn't have been enough, except that --
I have been supported, directly and indirectly, by fellow Wikinuts. Some of you have gone out of your way to put supportive comments on my pages, address issues of concern to me in your articles, and reply sincerely to my comments on your pages. Others, like Siva, who gave me my first comment, and cnwriter, with recent kindnesses, have gone even further, graciously answering my questions or OK'ing my "theft" of ideas which I would not have had without visiting their pages. Thank you, Wikifriends!

Thank You Moderators!

I want to say Thank You to those who have moderated me, johnnydod, Steve Kinsman,
Peter B. Giblett, Mark Gordon Brown, and for those who will moderate my articles in the future. I hope nutpoints, page views, stats, and fiscal earnings abound from your work, because I know you are moderating as well as writing, and there is a LOT of content here, and a lot to overwhelm. I should have an attitude of gratitude, and I mean it whether or not I show it everyday like I should.

For article 25 -- that's all she wrote!!

Wasn't personal, just an observation as a wikinut member and writer.
Wish you well at wikinut

I have just about heard enough of super low earnings from Wikinut writers. It sounds a lot like workers in India earning a pittance for hard work done.

Bye Bye Wikinut.

Thanks, muddu98. They are fun to write, and generally do well comment and earning-wise.
