It is my personal opinion that Wikinut chief have to take some bold step to make Wikinut more successful and to give their writers the reward which they deserved.

Less money

As compare to other revenue sharing websites Wikinut revenue is very less than that it should be. I have found many articles and post here at Wikinut and across the internet where the writers are not satisfied with the money which is generated from ads in Wikinut because they feel that the revenue is very very less and they believe that they should have to be paid more as I also feel that. Correct me if I am wrong that should we pay more than what now we are making? I am not gonna suggest the exact amount of money that Wikinut should pay us like $2 on thousand view but in fact my purpose is to remind the Chief Nut that please take some steps regarding low income. I don't know why we paid very less as I saw same ads at some major revenue sharing websites and surprisingly they are paying more. My intention is not to blame or to criticize Wikinut chief but it is only a suggestion which I feel that need to be taken. It is obvious that many of us are writing for making extra money am I right? I love to be hear at wikinut because I tried hubpages, squidoo and bubblews but eventually Wikinut is my place where I have to stay and I also here because I love to write.

Some Major steps

Except money there are some major things which I should remind to Chief Nut is:

1: The ©Copyright sign of Wikinut is still 2009 which should be change with every year and believe me it matter a lot at a first glance because every user looks at that.
2: Forum is a must as here at Wikinut there are hundred of writers who can face problems, or they want to share something related to Wikinut, or to chat with other writers. Every new user will look at the forum where he can find everything which he needs to know by the real members of that website.
3: The writers should not be allowed to write less than 300 words because we all know after Google launched google Panda the low contents punished and with the content the website would be also punished but if the there are unique and quality content then surely Google loves to come again and again.
4: On the front page those writers should be featured who are active and continuously contributing to Wikinut rather than those who are not active from last two or three years.

Hope the Chief Nut will consider this.

Very good points. I have forwarded your article so hopefully you can get a response. I particularly agree with points 3 and 4.

Note that as far as I know they have tried to increase the earnings, and better quality articles surly help this too. But if a website gets too spammy with too many ads the search engines will frown on it.

Thanks for the feedback. I've changed the "(c) 2009" line to something more appropriate.

Your other suggestions are a bit more involved, so no promises - but they've all be read and will be considered :)

Thanks.

Good thinking! We should all be working to improve -- starting with each article we write being the best we have to offer. Then, helping others do their best and stay involved. It is my hope that the day's featured author is just someone in a circle different from mine -- I ought to click through and see each's last offering, but I haven't done that. Perhaps you have... But keep thinking and writing and sharing!

In respect of the 300 words - you (and everyone else) should realise that I have been rejecting short submissions since I have been moderating on this site because they are of very little value to the Internet. The only exception to this rule is poetry.

Good to know Peter that you reject the short submission and I hope you will do this again and again to ensure the quality.

Thanks MMD for your keen interest and suggestions. Many agree that Wikinut is the best site except that the payments can be better. Hope we can band together along with The Chief Nut and moderators to make Wikinut the site that all look up to - siva

Good afternoon, MMD, catching up and this article interested me. I agree with several of your points, like Mark, specifically, numbers 3 and 4. Glad Peter is rejecting less than 300 words, however, they are still getting through from others. Keep writing about the site, community and writer's pay and I'm sure we will all contribute a comment. ~Marilyn
