Winter Approaches

Well it's just about winter here in the big VA. So i wrote a poem about my thoughts about my favorite season of the year

Something Cold This Way Comes

A chilling breeze, A cold ending phase
If it were something new the world would never age
A perplexing wind, A decisive blast
If it could speak it would whisper the past
A dormant oak, A white covered pine
If a gust blows both will groan and whine
A frost bitten world, A blanket covered peak
If it stays too long what of the weak?
A rushing beast, A creeping rogue
If the time has come it will always show
A frozen man, A piled heap
If anything it's the land that sleeps
A melting time, A long fought farewell
If i could say anything winter's story i would tell

I'm a young author from Virginia who focuses a lot of my work on darker subjects. But in truth i am a caring and happy go lucky person who uses poetry as an outlet to stay that way
