Are you tired of winter? So I am and here is my poem and some photos about the subject.

Winter's Over

Winter's Over

winter's over
now I am ready for Spring
winter's over
I'm ready for all that
Spring can bring

no more brown leaves
from the Fall
I want only green leaves
green, green, green leaves
that's all

no more gloomy days
with no sunshine around
no more cold and snowy ways
can be found

winter's over
now I am ready for Spring
winter's over
I'm ready for all that
Spring can bring

Good to find you and other friends here, I feel like I have escaped something else by coming here! I put a Valentines poem on the other website, they held it from the 9th of Feb until Valentines day, so I deleted it!

Nice poem. Nancy. My ex-wife would have loved it. She liked winter until the day after Christmas and then she was ready for Spring. As for me, I'm a Man For All Seasons, but if I had to choose one over all the others, I would have to choose Winter. I truly love the snow. Even at 68 I'm always ready to engage in building a snowman or to engage in a good snowball fight with the neighborhood kids.

I tell ya, here in Alabama USA, we have yet to have winter. I mean, I don't know if you know of the winters we have around these parts. But at least it gets cold enough so as, we don't have flowers blooming in February. LOL
Nice poem, I like your style. Thank you for sharing.:)

You have taken me to good old days - I am back to enjoy your inimitable style, Nancy! Being in tropical Singapore, we have only three seasons - hot, hotter and hottest but we do have good rains though! siva

We have all the seasons here in South Africa, It's the height of summer with soaring temperatures. Don't care for it much, still, the plants need it and without plants we don't exist. Nice to meet you Nancy and welcome into the warm embrace of a very close and caring community:-)) X
