When challenges comes who do you look to? Do you look to yourself or others? When challenges I made a decision of who I would look to. Read and make your decision today.

I am lifting my eyes to Jesus.

I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip - He who watches over you will not slumber.” (Psalms 121:1-2)

Today, you may be wondering who you are going to turn to for help. You remember when your friends promised you that if you ever needed them, you could call upon them. No one is available now to pray with you. You feel as though no one is even there to listen to you. However, know that God is always there. He is never going to leave you nor forsake you.

How many times have people have promised to be there for us, but when we need them the most, they are attending to someone or something else? They may have genuinely wanted to be there for you, to help us, to grieve with us, to sympathize with us, but time, situations, and circumstances did not permit them to do so.

One may say, “My heart is disquieted within.” Another may say, “My hope is fading fast,” and yet others may say, “My heart is broken,” “My bills are due,” “Loneliness is engulfing me,” “Even though I have a spouse, I still feel lonely,” “Will my situation ever change?” “Will there be someone who truly loves me for me?” “Sexual promiscuity has changed my life forever,” or “This sickness makes me feel hopeless.” Situations can crop up in the course of a few minutes that can change our lives forever.

I encourage you today to lift your eyes to the Lord. He is the one you should look to for help. He is your helper. Call upon Him. Whatever you are challenged with today, He has the answer. He is a very present help in the time of trouble (Ps. 46:1). Whatever you need Him for, He is.

Prayer: Father, in the matchless name of Jesus, the Christ, I thank You for being the only One that does not sleep and is taking care of every situation and circumstance that is challenging me, amen.
