Happy for you Snerfu. I have so far got three payouts - I think they happen when you cross 5000 nut points. Hopefully, I will get monthly rewards to give a spring in my steps!

I was earlier with YCN and Bukisa. YCN was good but not after restrictions took their toll. Bukisa never really took off. The community here is just great and also the variety - we agree to disagree and encourage one another. My only wish is that Wikinut is here to stay and goes from strength to strength - siva

Hello Siva, so encouraging to hear payouts come quicker when we top 5000 points. YCN does not have India payment options. I agree with you, our Wikinut community is great. And we certainly are not a bunch of animals that moo at one another! Hope you are doing well.

Since when has Wales been in England? At a time when there is a real possibility that Scotland could secede from the UK, confusions about Wales are the last thing we need!

I am definitely sorry about that error. I have corrected it Mr. Welford and grateful that you brought it to my notice. Indeed, if I may say so, the English people have a struggle with all of the world speaking their language ha ha. Breaking off has always been a costly affair but if it has to happen it will.

Why is that then John?

Excellent review on the site snerfu, well done my friend, although what the comment from our fellow wikinutter above has got to do with your first class post on the site, God only knows lol

Ms Mariah, I appreciate you running up and consoling me. I have corrected that obvious mistake that I made. Stupid of me, I think.

Snerfu..please allow me to correct John on his conclusions about 'the last thing we need' in terms of upholding the good morale of this site, the last thing we need are rude comments directed at our fellow writers and friends for an understandable geographical error concerning the UK..it would also appear that Snerfu's reference to Wales being in England offends you, that kind of attitude is another thing we don't need here.

No, Mr Welford was absolutely right and thanks. It feels good to be here. So much diversity exists within England that I am not aware of. And I think I am learning.

Mariah, Hang about please! What's wrong with pointing out an error that would annoy millions of people in Wales?

To be honest, it's the sort of mistake that most of the population of the United States make, and, seeing as this is a UK-based site, I seeing nothing wrong in mentioning it. I can imagine the response I would get if I said that Canada was in the United States, for example.

By "we" I mean the population of the UK, who are on the verge of a huge constitutional upset given that the vote on Scottish independence looks as though it could go either way.

Mariah, Since writing my previous comment I see that you are in Scotland, which makes we wonder why you said what you did. Would you have been quite so forgiving if Snerfu had written "Scotland, England"?

And I don't see that my original comment was remotely rude!

(I will also point out that I was born in Scotland, but have lived all my life in England apart from five years of higher education in Wales!)

Please don't attempt to excuse your rudeness to another writer by incorporating
reference to my being Scottish, your comment was extremely rude in responding to a post written to promote the site by a fellow writer in Asia who made an understandable geographical error end of..only the very narrow minded would deem to be offended by that..you use the word 'forgiving'!! have a think about that one John.

Mariah,You would appear to be one of those people who find it easy to misinterpret what others say and write and give it an implication that was never intended. Please allow me to explain:

1.My original comment - a quick throwaway remark - was intended to point out that Wales is not part of England. It is an error that is often made, and I will admit that it annoys the hell out of me. However, in this case my remark was simply a light-hearted reference to the fact that we (i.e. the people of the UK) have got enough to worry about at the moment over the status of Scotland without getting confused about Wales.
That was all it was - a joke - I'm sorry that you saw something there that was never intended. If Snerfu was offended, then I apologise there as well. However, I cannot for the life of me see how anyone could find anything there that was remotely rude.

2. Are you saying that because someone is not British they should not be told that they have made a mistake? How can anyone learn anything if they are allowed to continue in ignorance? It strikes me as condescension of the worst kind to say: "Never mind, they're foreign; they don't know any better, poor things". That is little short of racism, and I for one won't pander to it.

2. My reference to your Scottishness was only intended as an apology to you for having assumed that you were also of the view that Wales was part of England, due to being American. However, as before, you have chosen to take this the wrong way.

I quite often come across people to whom it is impossible to say the right thing - and saying nothing at all is also a mistake. Don't worry about it - if that's the way you are I'm not going to change your attitude. If I have caused any offence I can only apologise for it - no offence was intended to anyone at any point.

Snerfu, that is good information to know about the 2.50 instead of 5 pounds. Does this convert easily to dollars or the currency used where the writer is located?

Hello Mr Harbin, I thought that you had gone into hibernation for the winter. The money is paid into that PayPal account and you can convert it to the currency of your choice.

I think the problem you are experiencing here is that you are having difficulty recognising your indiscretion/error of judgement in your response to snerfu's post, which is the reason you
feel the need persist with this.
I'm sure snerfu will accept your apology as relayed.. don't worry about it..he's a really nice guy.

Dear Erly, Your articles are so appetizing that you should reach the target soon. It took me 9 months and 6 days (total page views -- 101, 821).
Now, initially I received only 120 or 200 page views and that was after 2 or 3 months. But one or two of my articles clicked and I received 1000 -- 2000 page views a day. Like Mr Siva said, if you cross that number of articles you will automatically get more page views.

Yes, the templates and ease of adding images and videos fast make Wikinut a great site to develop and improve one's writing. And one such example is "Yours truly" :)
However, I think moderators are appointed here, and can we apply to be a moderator here?
