You lit up a candle and melted it all away

My offering for the "Women's Month"
This is a poem about being abused, taken for granted and left alone.

A candle lit and melted;

felt like fairy princess when you brought some lights
flames at the center of my soul and kept them burning for I don't know how long
passion met passion as though it did and both shared magical thoughts that lit the earth

suddenly realized you burned and melted mine away
when yours was never touched

you just left me when my hopes are gone
soul torn to pieces, you just walked out the door
with no embraces

now you question, what I call home?
when we both built it, together with those sweet words and metaphors
with words, we felt strongly as I thought
only to find out you wasted my hopes away
like a candle you lit and melted
to give light to your satisfaction of deceit
revenge to frustrations in life
challenges you can't beat

now you left my heart full of fury
an anger not to anyone else but to myself
for letting myself be trapped in your fountain of darkness
as I have no candle to light to save myself when you let us apart

Awakening will put it back in shape

but I am still finding myself some lights
awakening rushing through this bruised soul
and once it finds my call
you'll see, I am going to get my candle back in shape
and to be free from darkness will be a promise to keep

I consider myself a scribbler. When I feel my heart is full, I suppress speech and write my heart out. I write from things that awakens my sensitivity as a person. It is my passion. It is simply me.
