I wrote this first, then lost it.I submitted the one I wrote next, same idea, different words. Now I think this is better. So what do you think?

Your're Path

This path is not straight,no smooth route,
Sometimes wide then narrow,
Diversions leading off,then regroup,
Leading on, beneath my shadow.

Flat then hilly,seems very steep,
Few downward slops,to render,
No road back,no retreat,
Don't retrace steps,only remembered.

Each day bring a fresh direction,
Still upward climb,to what ends,
Open to it's danger,no offer of protection,
Completing the journey on you depends.

Obstacles placed to trip and maim,
Slowing the process,to a halt,
Painstaking,rarely tame,
Imprints made by all your faults.

Tread more carefully as you age,
Taking stock of every decision,
The journey's ending at this stage,
Destination can be envisioned.

Bravely glance, see how far you came,
Relaxing now,no further strife
All possible routes ended the same,
That path traveled was my life.
